Hayward Decorating is a long running father and son team based in the Bournemouth area with over 65 years’ experience in the industry and a City & Guilds qualification. 

 Our services include residential, commercial & industrial. We have extensive knowledge when dealing with period properties and with specialist techniques. Although we are based in the Bournemouth area we will travel to any areas outside Dorset.

‘Mike and Jake Hayward have been carrying out all our interior and exterior decorating jobs for 20 years, both at our commercial premises and our home. Jake and Mike Hayward have been taking care of our decorating needs for the past 15 years and we wouldn’t use anyone else. Work is always completed to a very high standard. They start work when they say they will, put protective dust sheets down, clean up when they finish and they listen to the client and make suggestions to help achieve the desired outcome. They are also helpful if problems arise and actively help overcome them, they usually know a good carpenter, glazier or brickie that can come onboard to help out! “Hayward Decorating, were first commissioned to paint the exterior of our property as soon as we moved in to it in October 2018. A most thorough and complete job was done and the scaffolding removed without delay on completion. This job include filling some deep cracks in the exterior plaster cladding, now completely invisible. The interior of the property was then upgraded. After two walls had been removed, and internal doors relocated. Mike and Jake remedied the significant alterations and made the whole interior look like new, as well as changing window frames and the banisters from brown to white. They were very tidy and considerate, only being on the premises for the hours needed to do that day’s work. We would score them 10 out of 10, and have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them to anyone requiring a skilled professional job”

I would recommend Jake and Mike without any hesitation. First, they were employed to renovate/paint the outside of our house, then, because we were so delighted with their work, they were employed to paint the entire interior from top to bottom. They work efficiently and leave the site clean. They also fitted around us, especially with something as potentially intrusive as an interior decoration. Our neighbours have commented on the excellence of the work, and a number of them have subsequently used Mike and Jake for their own homes – all finished off to the same degree of professionalism as ours.
